Adobe illustrator how to get bright colors (Dull color fix

I'm having an issue with Illustrator CC 2017. When i use export to create a PNG file, it comes out with dull colors. However, when i use Save for web the PNG comes out in nice colors. This one looks dull compared to the other. The color mode of the document is set to RGB, not CMYK To dull it down, you add grey. This is called a Tone. This is easy enough to do in the color picker but it you want to get specific, you should use your color panel. When you see the color panel, it will start as whatever color mode your document is. You should click the options drop down (The arrow down with the four lines at the top)

Well if you open your Color palette (Window>Color), you'll most likely find that it's set to grayscale. (like below) Then the most probable reason is that you are using the wrong color scheme for this purpose. Some of the color schemes give different colors on the virtual screen and different colors on the print sheet You have got OVERPRINT PREVIEW turned on (which is why the colour is showing as a mix of red and yellow, i.e. orange). You have PROOF SETUP set to WORKING CMYK (which is why the colour appears dull, because you can't print bright oranges out of CMYK). Hopefully one, more or all of the above will help I just did an 'Export' as JPG from Illustrator and checked it in Photoshop with the 'Info' tool and the colour shows as 0, 0, 0, 30. It looks grey on the screen, too. I cannot replicate the problem so suggest you check that the colour mode is CMYK not RGB (under 'File' 'Document Color Mode') and also check you are using CMYK in the colour.

No printer (digital or offset) can ever reproduce all those colors on paper, so some kind of dulling will occur. If you convert to CMYK you will be able to see the degradation of colors on your own screen and you wont be too disappointed when you receive the final print Illustrator - Adjust Hue, Saturation, Brightness, and more.Hidden in Illustrator are options for adjusting hue, saturation, brightness, individual color chan.. When a new document is created in Adobe Illustrator, you have opportunity to choose the color model in the New Document dialog box Re: Color on export is horribly dull. You are probably working in a default adobe RGB color space, which gives a very saturated interpretation of on screen colors, or perhaps emulating Illustrator 6, but exporting without a profile, which will be viewed as generic RGB or sRGB in other applications, including the save for web dialog

Changes each component of a color to a new value based on the sum of the highest and lowest RGB values in the selected color. Illustrator adds the lowest and highest RGB values of the current color, and then subtracts the value of each component from that number to create new RGB values. For example, suppose you select a color with an RGB value. The same colors appear dull in some apps like Preview, but not others (e.g. Sketch, Illustrator). If I change the display's color profile to Apple RGB or sRGB, then the colors look consistent cross apps Set up color management, including calibrating your monitor and selecting an Illustrator Color Setting.
